Whether you are a vegetarian
that excludes all forms of meat, poultry and fish, but does include some
animal-produced fare such as dairy products and eggs; a vegan that
excludes all meat and all animal products, or just looking to bump up
your daily intake of healthy foods and cut back on red meat, vegetarian
recipes are for you. The key to a healthy vegetarian or vegan diet, as
with any other diet, is to eat a wide variety of foods, including
fruits, vegetables, plenty of leafy greens, whole grain products, nuts,
seeds and legumes. Vegetarian recipes are healthy, typically high fiber
and rich in vitamins and minerals. Seek out the best source of
vegetables and fruits in your area at your local farmers market or from
your won garden whenever possible and always try to purchase organically
grown foods if available. Contrary to the old stereotypes, vegetarian
recipes do not have to be boring and tasteless, in fact vegetarian
recipes are quite the opposite.
