Thin Crust Pizza Dough Recipe
Making your own pizza is not only easy, but healthy and less expensive than ordering a 'pizza to go' or baking a frozen one. This thin crust recipe is ideal for a crispy crust. You can top with traditional toppings or invent your own.
2 cups white flour
1 cup warm water
1 tablespoon dry active yeast
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon fine sea salt
Sift or whisk the dry ingredients together until well combined. Add the warm water and stir, until a ball forms. Lightly flour your work surface and rolling pin. Lightly stretch the pizza dough ball before placing it on the work surface. Roll the dough out, alternating directions as you roll, lightly dusting with flour as needed to keep the pizza dough from sticking to the work surface or to the rolling pin. Continue rolling until the pizza dough is thin and even. Place on an oiled pizza pan and top with tomato sauce and toppings. Bake in a hot (400 F) oven until crust is brown and crispy.
